The Honda Accord features a 185-hp i-VTEC engine with four cylinders. This increases to 189-hp with the Sport edition. The Toyota Camry offers a 178 hp engine in the base trim level, though extends as high as a 268 hp engine, showing superior performance against the Accord.

The Camry also offers a Hybrid model, which is eco-friendly and offers premium fuel economy. Tax incentives are also available on Hybrid vehicles, which might be another reason to consider a purchase over a lease.

In a head to head, the 2016 model placed the Toyota Camry as the number 1 rank for midsize sedans by US News, and with the smooth handling and impressive machinery under the hood, the Camry is the clear winner once again in 2017.

Stylish Features

Much of this comes down to Toyota vs. Honda as each manufacturer offers a wide array of features for their drivers to enjoy. You will find many of the same features in both, including premium sound systems, Bluetooth, and wheel-mounted audio controls.

Toyota has begun placing a lot of “extra” features as standard in their vehicles, including the Camry. The base trim level LE offers a backup camera as well as a touch-screen for the audio. As the trim levels climb, there’s also a Smart Key System with a push-button start, Integrated Navigation, and more. Drivers can also look at the Technology Package where they will have a pre-collision system, radar cruise control, along with a lane departure alert.

Honda offers the “Honda Sensing,” where there is a decent collection of technology including LaneWatch, a backup camera, remote engine start, and a Satellite-Linked Navigation system.

Year after year, the Camry is the winner of a number of awards. The 2017 Toyota Camry received the 5-Star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. The 2016 model also won the Best Buy award from Kelley Blue Book along with the Top Safety Pick from IIHS. The 2017 Honda Accord also received the 5-star overall safety rating, though has not been awarded the Best Buy Award from Kelley Blue Book.

The Camry offers more for your money, allowing you to get a lot of technology and premium driving features without spending the money on “extra” packages.

Trim Levels

The Honda has three different trim levels to choose from, including the LX, Sport, and Sport Special Edition. There are a lot more trim levels with the Camry. The seven trim levels include the LE through the XSE, as well as a Hybrid LE, SE, and Hybrid XLE.

With so many more trims, the Camry is the obvious winner when it comes to selection. This allows you to choose a Camry for sale that works best for you and your needs – including a Hybrid model that is supremely eco-friendly. You will be able to find what works for your budget and ensure that all of your vehicle needs are found in one of the trim levels.
