The engineers at Nissan are always busy developing and designing new vehicles made for the way you drive. Even though we’re only a quarter of the way into 2018, the Nissan design team has already been ramping up production on some of the most hotly anticipated cars and SUVs of the year. Here’s what you can expect to find at our Denville Nissan dealership in 2018.
New Nissan Kicks is Coming
The new Nissan Kicks is due to hit Nissan World of Denville and other dealerships across the country later this spring.
Available in three trim levels, the Kicks is a small sub-compact SUV that’s got the chops for toting cargo — it’s got 25 cubic feet even with the rear seats in place — and the sharp looks you crave. Inside, there’s plenty of leg and headroom, all the latest infotainment goodies like a 7-inch color display screen, Bluetooth, available Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and 3 USB ports. The Nissan Kicks will get you around town without having to spend too much time at the gas pump since it gets around 33 mpg.
The engineers at Nissan considered safety when designing the Kicks, too, as even the base model comes standard with active safety features that include forward-collision warnings, automatic headlights, and automatic emergency braking. There’s also an optional 360-degree backup camera, which we strongly recommend.
Nissan Introduced a Future Vision at the Detroit Auto Show
As you may have heard, Nissan created quite a stir at the 2018 NAIAS in January with the unveiling of the X-Motion (the X is pronounced “cross”). The X-Motion is a stunning fusion of Japanese aesthetics and modern technology, representing the company’s vision for the future SUVs you might be seeing on highways across the globe. In fact, Car and Driver wonders if this could be a new incarnation of the once-popular Nissan Xterra, which Nissan stopped selling in 2015.
2018 Nissan Leaf Wins Kelley Blue Book Award
Nissan received exciting news about their new Leaf, the world’s best-selling electric car. At the recent Chicago Auto Show, Kelley Blue Book awarded the 2018 Nissan Leaf their coveted Cost to Own Award in the electric vehicle category. KBB takes things like depreciation, expected fuel costs, finance and insurance fees, maintenance and repair costs, and state fees over a five-year ownership period in order to determine a winner for the category.
Leave it to Nissan to create an electric vehicle that’s as popular and affordable as its Leaf. We’re thrilled yet not surprised that the 2018 Leaf has struck gold.
The 2018 Nissan Rogue is Still King
The Rogue is Nissan’s best-selling SUV, and even though the designers at Nissan totally revamped the Rogue last year, that didn’t stop them from upping the ante on the 2018 Rogue with the additional option of ProPilot Assist. ProPilot assist, simply put, is a combination of an adaptive cruise control system, lane-keeping steering assist, and a driver alertness monitor into one simple feature that can be activated in just two quick taps. The system is designed to work at highway speeds, but thanks to its adaptive cruise element, it can bring the crossover to a complete stop, making it useful in stop-and-go traffic as well.
A 7-inch display audio system is now standard equipment for the 2018 Rogue, an upgrade from the 2017 model’s 5-inch screen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration are also standard. Of course, the 2018 Rogue retains all the best elements from the 2017 model, like ample room inside, great cargo space, plenty of power, and lots of trendsetting options.
