Join thousands of fellow shoppers, hobbyists, and artists at this year’s Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival, aka “The Big White Tent.” Known as one of the area’s finest fall events, this festival runs for two full weekends and features work from over 200 auteurs, artists, and designers. Entertainment will be on tap outside on the resort’s pavilion, but inside is where you’ll want to be. With samples of culinary treats, painting demos, exhibitions, and a Kids’ Creation Station, this tent is a must-stop if you’re traveling through ABQ.

Kids under the age of 12 years are free, and one-day passes cost just $10 for adults. That’s a small price to pay for 8 full hours of entertainment.

The Lantern Fest

Date: October 28th, 2017
Location: Sandia Speedway (Albuquerque, NM)
Website: www.thelanternfest.com

An Albuquerque night sky lit up by…lanterns? That’s what will happen on October 28th when hundreds and thousands of lanterns are released into the air! But before “the release,” you’ll get to enjoy the event’s live music, dancing, food, s’mores, and other fun activities. Be sure to pack your vehicle with all the necessities, including a blanket, some chairs, a cooler filled with drinks, and some snacks. If you can’t fit all that inside your dinky two-door, why not make the upgrade to an SUV like the Nissan Murano? (Our Albuquerque Nissan dealership can help with that, by the way.)

The Lantern Fest will open at 3 pm. Admission costs $10 at the gate.
