Stay on Top with The 2017 Honda Accord

It’s more than enough that the 2017 Honda Accord offers incredible reliability, top-in-class fuel economy, and high resale value. But this midsize also features the safety and space of a family transport as well as the sophistication of a date-night sedan. And here’s why we think the 2017 Accord, with all its amazing attributes, is ready to call your garage its new home.

Award-Winning Appeal

Numerous awards place the 2017 Honda Accord at the top of the pack, including an unheard-of 31st Car and Driver 10Best appearance and a 2017 Kelly Blue Book Best Buy win. In fact, the Accord name has more awards under its belt than most manufacturers. Talk about reliability.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the new Honda Accords also gets the highest ratings for its crashworthiness thanks to its roof strength, safety cage, and seat restraints. Superior crash avoidance and navigation nods come from such features as the Collision Mitigation Braking System™, which helps stop the sedan if it’s about to hit a vehicle in front, as well as Road Departure Mitigation, which tells you if you’re about to leave the road and can take steps to prevent that from happening. A coveted Top Safety Pick+ award is the result of Honda’s incredible engineering.

What’s New?

Not content to rest on its laurels, the Accord now has a new Sport Special Edition trim for 2017. This model includes heated leather seats with premium red stitching, as well as a few additional features—both standard and available—that are exclusive to its trim, such as a special “Sport SE” badge adhered to the rear. Not only do our Honda dealers love its look, but so too do our customers.

Beating the Competition

The Accord gets 36 highway MPG and 27 MPG, which is more than the 33/24 MPG offered by the Camry. Compared to the Chevrolet Malibu, which only has a 160-hp 1.5L engine, the Accord uses a more powerful 185-hp 2.4L inline-4. And let’s not forget Honda’s best-in-class CVT, which is strikingly responsive and quick to the punch. Air conditioning with climate control and Bluetooth®, both of which are standard on all Accord trims, don’t appear in the Malibu and Hyundai Sonata unless you want to pay up for the more expensive trim levels.
