What’s the best Mother’s Day present you could give your wife or mother? We think it’s a new Honda for Mom, but as an Ocala Honda dealer near Lake City, we might be a bit biased. Here are a few amazing local Ocala events that might strike Mom’s fancy this year. Check them out!
For the Nature Addicts
Is Mom a horse lover? How about a three-and-a-half-hour tour of working horse farms, where Mom can pet, ride, and learn about race horses? Since Marion County has surpassed the bluegrass of Kentucky as the Horse Capital of the USA, there’s never a shortage of equestrians here in Florida.
She might also prefer a stroll through the butterfly garden at Rainbow Springs State Park. There’s a guided tour at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, and it should be a peaceful slice of pre-Mother’s Day Heaven.
Boogie Down with Live Music
Does Mom like music and fireworks? Why not take her to the Symphony Under the Stars at Ocala Golf Club? The gates open at 5:30 p.m. on Mother’s Day, while the concert begins at 7:00. Fireworks will conclude the evening, so bring a picnic from home, or buy dinner and drinks there.
If tu madre shakes her booty to Latin music, bring her to La Lucha when they take the stage in The Villages on May 18th. They’re a Tampa trio that fuses Latin music with jazz and pop, so make sure Mom dons some comfy dance-ready attire.
Maybe Mom prefers classic rock; Ocala’s hometown rock band, One Flite Up, will be performing a live set at On Top of the World on Friday, May 19, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Moms: Always the Traditionalists
Most moms get on just fine with the standard Mother’s Day gifts, like chocolate and flowers. Go to Ocala’s Chocolates and Confections to get a treat as sweet as she is. There are also seven florists between Hwy 75 and SR 35 alone, and plenty more spread out through the rest of Marion County. As long as it comes with love and appreciation, it’ll be a perfect gift.
Or she might prefer a car. At Honda of Ocala, we have amazing deals on new and used Hondas, like the Honda Accord, one of the best-selling cars in the USA since 1989. And don’t forget about the 2017 Honda Odyssey, a minivan that’s perfect for mothers of larger families, as well as those who need to transport soccer teams or band members and equipment. If Mom prefers to keep her carbon footprint small, she might prefer a Honda hybrid, like the Honda CR-Z (#7 on the greenest green car list) or Honda Insight (ranked in the top twenty).
If you want to buy Mom (or yourself) a new Honda, contact us at (352) 325-4193 or visit our dealers at 1800 SW College Road in Ocala, FL. Our new and used car dealers near Marion County offer tons of Honda and pre-owned cars, so finding the best deal on a perfect vehicle won’t ever be a challenge. Stop in and save this Mother’s Day!
