The 2017 Toyota Camry is Full of New Features

As the newest addition to our inventory at Germain, the 2017 Toyota Camry carries over the model’s best-selling design and performance—remember its comprehensive bumper-to-bumper facelift in 2015?—while also going an extra mile to offer owners more bang for their buck. Toting a slew of new features, both standard and optional, the newest Camry gives off feel-good vibes inside and out. What’s most impressive is the 2017 Camry’s MSRP, which is unchanged from the ‘16 model year, semantically making these features free. Rich in features yet low on price—who couldn’t get on board with that?

Available now at Germain Toyota of Sarasota, the 2017 Camry cars are ready to be taken for a test drive. Check out what’s new with the 2017 Camry lineup below, and view the new Camrys for sale at our new car dealership near Bradenton to see why America’s most popular sedan is primed for yet another breakout year.

Introducing the 2017 Camry Lineup

The new Camry lineup features four sedan trims (LE, SE, XSE, and XLE), as well as three Hybrid trims (LE, SE, XLE). All are boldly going where no Camry has gone before, bolstering Toyota’s already well-documented commitment to their customers.

Camry LE – In the base 2017 Camry LE (and across the entire Camry lineup), owners can expect standard styling and performance that’s anything but. Equipped with Toyota’s impressive 2.4L four-cylinder DOHC engine, the LE is rated at 33 highway mpg, making it as mighty a fuel-sipper as you’ll find in the segment. All-season tires are new and help the car grip the road in both wet and dry conditions. Its track is wider than years past, allowing the Camry to accelerate through twists and turns like a mongoose (or something similarly agile). The cabin is ultra-quiet thanks to sound absorption enhancements.

Other standard features found in the Camry LE include a rearview camera, TPMS, Toyota Entune infotainment system, a 6.1-inch screen, Star Safety System, and Whiplash-Injury-Lessening (WIL) seats.

Camry SE – The Toyota Camry SE utilizes the same 2.4-liter engine as the LE, while also improving ride quality with a firmer suspension and race-inspired paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel. Ideal for drivers who like power at their fingertips, these shifters grant you the ability to shift the 6-speed automatic transmission manually. Engineered to combat human error, these paddle shifters even match downshift revs to smoothify the ride.

Taking one step ahead of the LE, the 2017 Camry SE is promoted to elite status with its premium leather-like upholstery, an 8-way power adjustment in the driver’s seat, and a direct-pressure TPMS readout viewable within the car’s HUD—a nifty system that alerts drivers to specific tires that need inflated (or deflated).

Camry XSE – With more than a smidgen of newly standard features, such as low-profile tires to improve handling, a JBL audio system, an upgraded Entune infotainment system with integrated Navigation Scout technology, and a nonslip Qi wireless charging pad, the 2017 XSE is proof that Camry’s all grown up. Also added standard to the XSE are dual-zone climate control, heated seats, upholstery with pseudo-suede accents, and power passenger seats.

The 2017 Camry XSE can also be equipped with Toyota’s powerful V6, which is clearly designed with the thrill-seeker in mind. The 3.5-liter engine is a 268-horsepower brute that offers an EPA-estimates 30 highway mpg, giving credence to the notion that a car can be equal parts beauty and brawn.

Camry XLE – The upper-level styling of the Toyota Camry XLE is clear from any point of view. From the mesh-designed front grille that houses the available V6 to the newly available metallic blue paint, the exterior showcases the XLE as a force to be reckoned with.

Inside grants access to luxury like no affordable car should have, such as multi-stage heated front seats lined with premium leather and stitched to perfection, a telescopic steering wheel with Bluetooth push-button controls, and wood-grain trim. Toyota’s Safety Connect emergency assistance system and blind-spot monitoring round out the XSE’s options.

Camry Hybrid – Standard across the 2017 Camry Hybrid lineup are features like keyless entry, pushbutton ignition, Hybrid Synergy Drive, and an energy monitor that provides real-time details about the car’s battery and power consumption. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 40 mpg city on the SE and XLE to 42 mpg on the LE, respectively.
