The 2018 Lexus LS Sedan
The latest 2018 Lexus LS was unveiled at Detroit’s 2017 Auto Show, and it’s far more than your typical luxury sedan.
At first glance, what’s most striking about the LS is the front grille—its netted design is a sign that Lexus is taking an aggressive yet sophisticated approach to crafting its future lineup. A wider platform gives the Lexus LS a distinctly agile appearance, while the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 keeps the blood pumping thanks to its max 415 horsepower output. With 442 lb-ft of torque, this Lexus LS pushes to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
Slide into the 28-way power driver’s seat (wow) and you’ll find yourself in tech paradise. A 12.3-inch touchscreen awaits the soft swipes from your fingertips, and a high-def Mark Levinson stereo system is prepared to make your ears sing in its praise. Rear seats also offer an exceptional amount of comfort, with heating, cooling, reclining, and even massage capabilities. Safety systems like Intuitive Pedestrian Detection, Active Steering, Lane Keep Assist, and more are also standard.
Details like pricing and availability weren’t disclosed, though we expect the Lexus LS to hit the Germain Lexus of Naples showroom floor near the end of 2017. Stay tuned.
The Lexus LC 500 Halo Car
Also debuted at the NAIAS was the 2018 LC 500, Lexus’s flagship “halo car.” This top-tier model was announced at last year’s show in Detroit, but its allure finally hit an all-time when it graced the stage this year. Boasting a high-gloss exterior, the LC 500 is crammed with futuristic tech, such as triple-LED headlights, 3D taillights, Pre-Collision Detection, Radar Cruise Control, and Intelligent High Beam controls. Lexus’s amazing 10.3-inch display stands at attention from atop the central stack, adding more class to the already impressive cabin atmosphere. And your heel will be glad to know that this LC 500 can hit 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds, just like the Lexus LS.
