Calling it “the most radical redesign of the Honda Civic in its history,” Honda proudly unveiled the stunning new Civic Concept at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. The dramatic lime-green Civic, albeit without an engine or interior, definitely provided an insight into how the future family of Civics may look.
While Honda was not specific about such details as engine and interior, the automaker notes that new 10-generation Civic lineup will rely heavily on the concept’s bold and aggressive design cues. Honda will first introduce a new sedan sometime this fall, followed by a two-door coupe, a sporty Si model, and the first U.S. five-door Civic hatchback ever. The company also announced that potent new 300-hp Type-R will also be headed to U.S. shores at some point; a fact that has racing purists rejoicing.
